These funds are designated for living expenses, education, and community development. The company’s CEO, Dennis Muilenburg, expressed his sympathies and clarified that this financial commitment is independent of any lawsuits related to the accidents. This multi-year payout is a response to the tragedies involving Lion Air Flight 610 and Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302, which claimed a total of 346 lives.
