Representation of Parallax, LLC in Public Art Installation Dispute
Ongoing – Podhurst Orseck represents Parallax, LLC, the internationally recognized art studio in a $2 million lawsuit filed by the City of Miami Beach. The City alleges breach of contract and defective design related to a large-scale art installation created for the Miami Beach Convention Center, the site of Art Basel.
Podhurst Orseck has counterclaimed, asserting the alleged defects were caused by the City’s own contractors, whom the City has separately sued for $30 million. The case has been mediated four times and is currently in discovery, with a jury trial set for January 2026.
