The family of Phillip Wood, an American passenger on the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, filed a lawsuit in federal court against the airline. The suit was filed by the law firm Podhurst Orseck under the Montreal Convention, an international treaty governing airline liability. This legal action is the second filed in a U.S. federal court against the airline concerning the flight that disappeared on March 8, 2014.
