The University of Miami School of Law has received a $3.45 million donation from alumnus David C. Humphreys and his wife, Debra. These funds will establish The Robert C. Josefsberg Endowed Chair in Criminal Defense Advocacy, honoring the longtime Podhurst Orseck PA attorney. The endowed chair will support a faculty member dedicated to teaching and research in criminal law, with the goal of improving criminal defense advocacy. Humphreys was inspired to make the donation in honor of Josefsberg after witnessing his impressive advocacy skills during a trial while Humphreys was a law student. Josefsberg, known for representing clients like The Doors’ Jim Morrison, expressed shock and gratitude for the honor.
