Dayron Silverio focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, intellectual property disputes, and class actions. He has tried nearly two dozen cases in state and federal courts, civil and criminal, and on both sides of the “v.” He also represents clients before administrative agencies and arbitral panels.

Prior to joining the firm, Dayron served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of Florida. In that role, he investigated and prosecuted hundreds of federal offenses, including murder and murder-for-hire, racketeering, human trafficking, child exploitation crimes, fraud schemes, interstate and international property crimes, and money laundering. For his work, he received the Office’s 2020 Karen Cross & Beranton Whisenant Award, presented annually to a single prosecutor who demonstrates exceptional legal acumen, work ethic, professionalism, and performance during the first four years of service.

Dayron maintains an active appellate practice. He has successfully briefed and argued criminal and civil matters before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and has been appointed by the court to serve as counsel in a criminal appeal.

Earlier in his career, Dayron served as an Assistant County Attorney for Miami-Dade County, representing the County and its employees in administrative, state, and federal proceedings involving tort claims, zoning and land use disputes, ordinance enforcement, and constitutional and civil rights litigation.

Representative Civil Matters

  • Trial counsel for foreign companies in the Southern District of Florida, defeating a $660 million copyright infringement damages claim.
  • Recovered millions of dollars in laundered assets on behalf of a French company.
  • Represented an international law firm in a legal malpractice action.
  • Obtained a defense jury verdict for Miami-Dade County in a tort action.
  • Secured confidential, favorable settlements for multiple victims in wrongful death and negligence matters.

Dayron previously clerked for the Honorable Mark E. Walker of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida and the Honorable Adalberto J. Jordan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

By appointment of the Chief Judge, Dayron serves on the Professionalism Panel of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court in and for Miami-Dade County, Florida.
