Bio

Pablo Rojas is an attorney whose practice includes personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, mass torts and class actions. Pablo also works on select commercial matters and first-party insurance litigation. He handles cases against major aviation manufacturers including Boeing and Airbus, major airlines, Volkswagen and Monsanto.

At Podhurst, Pablo has represented clients at every stage of litigation, from pretrial motion practice to trials and appeals. He has briefed and argued dispositive motions in both federal and state court and first-chaired jury trials in multiple jurisdictions. He has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of his clients, including a $13 million jury verdict for an injured client in a case arising from a construction accident and a favorable summary judgment ruling in a commercial case involving approximately $700 million in lost assets. Pablo also briefed and argued a pro bono appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, successfully urging a change in the Eleventh Circuit’s jury instructions for Eighth Amendment claims.

Pablo frequently represents the families of victims who perished in air disasters. In 2020, Pablo and the firm secured judgments totaling more than $1 billion in relation to the tragic crash of an aircraft carrying members of the Chapecoense soccer team. Currently, he and the Firm are preparing for trial against Boeing, in relation to the deadly crash of Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302. He represents victims in numerous other aviation cases currently pending against major airlines and airplane and helicopter manufacturers.

In addition to his ongoing aviation practice, Pablo also represents insurance claimants and tort victims against insurance companies, chemical manufacturers, and others. Pablo and the Firm have secured millions in settlements against Monsanto in relation to the weed killer Roundup. Pablo was also part of the team that obtained a historic $127.5 million settlement against the FBI in relation to the 2018 school shooting in Parkland, Florida.

Pablo Rojas joined Podhurst Orseck after serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Adalberto Jordan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He received his Juris Doctorate magna cum laude from the New York University School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif, a Robert McKay Scholar, and a Furman Public Policy Scholar. He also served as Executive Editor on the NYU Environmental Law Journal.

Prior to law school, Pablo worked for an international bank in New York and served on the staff of Senator Robert P. Casey, Jr., in Washington, D.C. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Economics from Brown University.

Pablo is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese, and conversational in French. He is a member of the New York bar and the Florida bar. He has been interviewed by Law360, Scripps News, Telemundo, Univision, and the Associated Press, among others.
