Maine Plane Crash Updates

A national class-action lawsuit has been filed against the health insurer CIGNA, accusing the company of discriminating against patients with HIV/AIDS. The suit, brought by Consumer Watchdog and law firms Whatley Kallas, LLP and Podhurst Orseck P.A., alleges that CIGNA forces these patients to obtain medications through its mail-order pharmacy. This policy is claimed to be a violation of the Affordable Care Act, as it allegedly discourages patients with pre-existing conditions from enrolling in or maintaining their health plans.
