Volkswagen has agreed to a $57 million settlement to resolve a class-action lawsuit concerning defective suspension systems in certain vehicles. The lawsuit, filed in Florida federal court, alleged that the company knowingly sold cars with suspensions that could not be properly realigned, leading to premature and uneven tire wear. As part of the settlement, owners of 2009 to 2017 Volkswagen CC models are eligible for free tire rotations or reimbursement for past tire replacements and rotations. The case was handled for the consumers by attorneys from Podhurst Orseck PA and Kreher & Trapani LLP.
