Following the disappearance of a Malaysia Airlines aircraft, aviation lawyer Steven Marks speculated on the potential cause. Marks, a partner at the Podhurst Orseck law firm, suggested the lack of any warnings from the aircraft indicated a catastrophic failure at high altitude. He contrasted the incident with the Air France Flight 447 crash in 2009, which sent dozens of error messages in its final minutes. Marks proposed that potential causes could include the plane breaking up, a complete electrical failure, or a loss of pressurization.
