UPS Plane Crash Updates

A federal jury in Florida ordered Chinese circuit board manufacturer Jiangmen Benlida Printed Circuit Co. Ltd. to pay its U.S. distributor, Circuitronix LLC, nearly $7.6 million in damages for breach of a distribution agreement. The legal dispute began when Benlida sued Circuitronix for $13.7 million in unpaid invoices, but Circuitronix countersued, alleging Benlida demanded advance payments without proper credit and made late shipments. Represented by Stephen F. Rosenthal of Podhurst Orseck PA, Circuitronix argued that Benlida exploited their partnership to solve its own cash flow problems. Before the trial, a judge had already sided with Circuitronix on some of Benlida’s claims, finding that the distributor was not responsible for invoices belonging to an affiliate and had already paid the amounts it owed.
